Jim Bass Gives Away Fifth Brand New Car to San Angelo Woman

SAN ANGELO, TX - Today at 11 a.m., Jim Bass Cars and Trucks gave away the fifth vehicle for the $100,000 Test Drive Giveaway. One San Angeloan walked away with a new Nissan Versa.

As the five finalists stood in line and awaited to see who would be the lucky winner, anticipation was high. Each contestant had a slip of paper that was put into a capsule. Todd Price prepared to draw a name.

The five finalists were Mark Newman, Malea Eimer, Norma Zumwalt, Susan Findly and Sue Linthicum.

Price drew Malea Eimer's name, and she was overjoyed with the results. She said, “I didn’t think I was going to get [it], and I was hoping that one of the other people were going to get [the car].”

Eimer has two sons and a husband. For the first road trip in their new car, they plan on going to Colorado to visit family.

The fact that this vehicle has air conditioning and working windows, Eimer said, “that is something that I never really get with the cars I buy. I have never had a new vehicle before, so I’m really psyched to have something.”

Eimer’s final words were to Jim Bass. She said, “I thank you, and I think they should do this every year. I think this is wonderful, and I like that they give back to the community.”

Price explained that there will be one more car giveaway in December, so it is not too late to go test drive a new Ford or Nissan vehicle so you can be entered into the contest.

The next vehicle given away will be a new Ford.

Price said, “Every time, the winner always says, ‘I never thought I had a chance.’ So even though you think you may not have a chance, you do. So come test drive a car.”
