ASU Student Places 1st at Clay Target Contest

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - The ACUI Lower Midwest International Championships was the stage where Angelo State University sophomore Colten Hughes placed 1st in his division this past weekend.

According to an ASU press release, Hughes, as a member of the Rams Clay Target Team, was one of the 30 students who participated in the Men’s International Trap competition. The competition was held in San Antonio.

Hughes competed in the Men’s International Skeet competition, and scored in ninth place.

The ASU team competed with students from Baylor University, Schreiner University, Texas A&M University, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas Tech University and Trinity University.

The competition is part of the ACUI, or Association of College Unions International Shotgun Bowl Series.
