SAN ANGELO, TX – Next Saturday, October 29, ARock Salon, San Angelo’s newest hair and beauty salon, located at 227 S. Chadbourne, will be hosting its grand opening from noon until midnight. At this special event, customers will have the opportunity to discover the services offered by ARock Salon, while also enjoying a sampling of finger foods. Autumn Brockman, the owner of ARock Salon, who is also a San Angelo native, is looking forward to welcoming her guests on the grand opening night.
Autumn Brockman is no rookie. She can look back on a successful career in the beauty industry. Her first photo shoot was in 1999, which was the first step to an exciting modeling career, landing her a first publication in the early 2000s. Thereafter, she began traveling the west coast meeting producers, photographers, models and actors. In a chance moment, Brockman – while on a photo shoot – filled in for a missing makeup artist. This became the kick-start for her business career. Since then, she has worked for Go Daddy commercials and for major publications such as Maxim, FMH, and Black Men’s Magazine.
With the new opening of her salon, she hopes to bring an L.A. vibe to San Angelo. Besides being a hair stylist and makeup artist, Brockman has also launched her own makeup line, including a lipstick collection with exciting and bold colors.
“I created my makeup [collection] because I got tired of paying [the] high prices” she said. “I wanted to see people have quality makeup without having to pay the high prices.”
Brockman is currently also working on new lip liners that will be complemented by a mascara collection. Customers interested in checking out her makeup collection before the grand opening next Saturday can purchase her products at the So Unique Boutique and the Creative Designs Boutique.
Brockman’s ARock Salon also specializes in hair extensions and vivid hair coloring. The team members who are working at ARock Salon offer a great variety of services including fusion, beaded and tape-in hair extensions. Her salon also provides treatment for ethnic hair, such as weaves and sew-ins. In addition, ARock Salon offers photo shoot packages, makeup and full body waxing, and works to scout models for the beauty industry as well.
Brockman “has been building ARock Salon for [the past] three years,” and is excited to showcase the place during the grand opening on Saturday, October 29. You don’t need an appointment for this day, as walk-ins will be welcomed. For more information about ARock Salon services, please check out the business's Facebook page.
