Central's Homecoming Week: Schedule and Events

 

SAN ANGELO, TX- Central's Homecoming Week started today and will continue through Friday, September 30. Here is the schedule provided by the San Angelo Independent School District.

Homecoming Week: September 26 – 30

September 27 – 28: Second Round Voting

September 29 – 6:00 p.m. Homecoming Parade immediately followed by Community Pep Rally

September 30 – 7:30 a.m. Pep Rally and Crowning of Homecoming King

                           7:30 p.m. Football Game Crowning of Homecoming Queen at Halftime

*September 28 - Giant Mum Streamer due to cheerleaders and Mr. Escue in gym

Dress Up Day

Monday – Jumanji – Safari Day

Tuesday – Guess Who? – Twin Day

Wednesday – Battleship - Battle of the Classes      

  • Seniors wear Blue
  • Juniors wear Orange                                                                                                                                                     
  • Sophomores wear White
  • Freshmen wear Grey

Thursday – Cranium - Nerd Day

Friday – Spirit Day     

The Parade

The starting location for the parade is at the Central tennis courts and will end in the Tuckers Parking lot. The starting line-up for the parade is 5 p.m., and floats are to stage along N. River Drive between Kelton and the river. Walking groups and convertibles are set to stage along Mesquite between Sousa and Kelton.  

Central urges people to help keep cars off Mesquite between 5 p.m. and the starting time.

Central encourages the tradition of handing out candy to spectators, but urges the importance of not throwing any of the candy, as per City regulation.
