Senior Care Programs Reach Rural Counties

The Area Agency on Aging, La Esperanza Clinic and the 2-1-1 Texas of the Concho Valley will be working together to bring their services and support to rural counties. Their mission is to provide senior citizens with the opportunity to be involved in their programs.

Each agency focuses on different aspects of life. The Area Agency on Aging provides seniors and caregivers access to services that allow them to live at home independently.

La Esperanza Clinic aims to provide quality primary, preventive and dental care especially to those who are underserved in the community. They also provide assistance for individuals in the transition into the Affordable Care Act and Medicare.

2-1-1 Texas is a free service provided by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. The program provides free information, both by phone and internet, regarding the health and human services programs available in the state.

Each community partner will hold informative sessions throughout the outlying counties. For more information, please contact the Area Agency on Aging at 325-233-5704 and ask Kendra, or email [email protected].
