Police Identify Dead Body, Continue Investigation

 

Yesterday at 4:17 p.m., SAPD officers discovered a deceased male subject in the south alley of the 2000 block of Lindell Ave. according to a press release from the department. He has been identified as 23-year-old Edwardo Gavirio.

Officers were dispatched to the alley for an unconscious subject. After discovering the body, Patrol Officers initiated an investigation and Detective James Hernandez with the Criminal Investigation Division responded.

Justice of the Peace Howard responded to the scene and pronounced Gavirio deceased at 5:15 p.m. with an approximate time of death of 4:00 p.m. An autopsy was ordered by JP Howard.

The initial call came in to the Police Department from a citizen who lived in the area. At this time, no foul play is suspected in the death of Gavirio. 

This case is still under investigation and there is no other information for release from SAPD at this time.
