San Angelo Police Department to unveil newly constructed SAPD Boathouse, located at 2022 Cat Tail Lane. The short ceremony will take place Thursday, June 23, at 10:00 a.m. and is open to the public.
In 2012, Lake Nasworthy Homeowners Association contacted Department Officials about the possibility of a new boathouse on the waters of Nasworthy, but the idea was met with many obstacles. After fleshing out many of the details, plans to proceed with the construction were discussed for 2014 when Department Officials began working with the LNHOA and Gary Donaldson Architects for a conceptual design.
T4C Cross Texas Homes, a local company specializing in commercial buildings and boat docks, secured the winning bid for the project but could not begin construction until April 2016 due to their existing project load.
