A power outage has rendered one of 20 Tom Green County voting centers inoperable. Power cannot be restored at Southgate Church of Christ, 528 Country Club Rd., before polls are scheduled to close at 7 p.m.
Citizens are advised by election officials to choose one of 19 optional locations to cast their vote. You may vote at any of the locations below, as prescribed on the official elections page on cosatx.us/elections.
Update: 4:30 p.m.
The power has been restored. Because of emergency battery backups, the City Clerk explained the election machines retained all votes cast there. In other words, no votes were lost. Citizens can resume using the Southgate Church of Christ as a voting location as of 4:30 p.m.
