A press release from Angelo State University’s Multicultural Center announced that they will host a wide range of events to celebrate Spring Diversity Week 2016 Monday-Friday, April 25-29, in the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive.
With the theme “Deconstructing Labels,” events will include:
Monday, April 25
Women’s Happy Hour and Diversity Dialogue, 2-4 p.m. in the Multicultural Center, Room 114 of the University Center, with smoothies and activities
Selena Tribute karaoke and dance, 8-10 p.m., University Center Lobby
Tuesday, April 26
Asian-Pacific Islander Heritage Celebration, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., University Center Lobby; education, activities and food representing the Polynesian kingdom of Tonga
Men’s Tie Tuesday and Women’s Little Black Dress Day, reception 1-3 p.m., Multicultural Center. Wear black in support of sexual assault awareness. “Wearing a little black dress does not mean yes.”
The Divine Nine Presentation, 6-7 p.m., Nasworthy Suite, University Center
Grupo Folklorico Mextli performance, 7-8 p.m., University Center Lobby
Wednesday, April 27
