San Angelo Fire Department Saves Apartment Right in Time

The San Angelo Fire Department responded to a structure fire call at 3030 N. Chadbourne Thursday morning at Henry’s Barber Shop.

According to the emergency scanner, there were reports of green smoke coming from the back of the building where a small rental apartment sits. When fire officials got on scene, the room was opened up and fire fighters found a kitchen fire.

Officials noted that food was left cooking unattended, and the occupant was not home. Fire fighters took the pan off the stove, took it outside, and put the fire out. Other than smoke, there was no damage to the apartment.
