Saturday, The Boys and GIrls Club of San Angelo hosted a teen job fair. Businesses from all over the city came together to offer local teens summer jobs. Others came to spread awareness for their organization or provide information on a service they provide geared toward high schoolers.
Howard College was on hand to provide information about it's dual credit program. "High school students that are juniors and seniors can actually start taking college classes through Howard. When they graduate from high school they not only get that diploma, but could potentially graduate with an Associate's Degree as well," said Carla Ebeling, a Howard College teacher at the fair. The Y.M.C.A. and youth church groups were there to educate teens on services offered through each organization.
Chick Fil-A and HEB talked about schloarships a teen could acquire working for either of them. Teens were able to fill out applications and interview on the spot.
Later on that night there was a battle of the bands sponsered by the B&GC, giving the teens in San Angelo something different to take part in on a Saturday night.
