North San Angelo Residence Catches Fire on a Rainy Day

A single-story residence at 121 W. 22nd St. caught fire this afternoon and was completely engulfed in flames, visibly licking the windows when the San Angelo Fire Department arrived on scene at around 2 p.m.

Fire engines 5, 6 and Ladder 1 responded to the residence and quickly extinguished the blaze, however an on-scene correspondent says the structure appears to be a total loss.

At the moment, it does not appear that anyone was home when the fire started, nor have there been any injuries confirmed.

The street has been blocked by fire trucks, and an ambulance is on standby as firefighters remove debris from the house.

A fire suppressant foam is being used to insure the fire is completely out.
