Friday, Feb. 27 Weather Delays

Road conditions are deteriorating. Crashes are reported all over town. The police have issued the following advisories:

• Do not attempt to drive on Loop 306/Houston Harte
• Knickerbocker Road from Currier to Loop 306 should be avoided. Between the 900 and 1200 blocks of Knickerbocker, police are reporting solid ice.

Due to icy conditions, the following schools and employers will have delays.

Cancellations

Angelo State University cancelled all classes as of 8:10 a.m.
Ballinger ISD classes are cancelled.
DPS offices are closed.
Goodfellow Air Force Base is closed.
Howard College and the West Texas Training Center will be closed and all classes will be cancelled.
The Paint Rock Independent School District is canceling school for Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, because of poor weather and road conditions.
City of San Angelo Offices will be closed.
Community Health Club Nursery closed and all classes cancelled.
Cornerstone Christian School has cancelled their previously scheduled half day/service project day.
Christoval ISD classes are cancelled.
Grape Creek ISD classes are cancelled.
San Angelo ISD classes are cancelled.
Southwest Children's Academy and Pumpkin Patch Preschool closed.
TLCA closed. All classes cancelled.
Tom Green County Appraisal District is closed.
Tom Green County Offices and Library closed.
Wall ISD classes are cancelled.
Water Valley ISD classes are cancelled.
 

9 a.m. Start

FBC-CDC will remain closed today.

10 a.m. Start:

Angelo State University classes have been cancelled
Bronte ISD Grape will start at 10 a.m. today. Buses will run 2 hours late.
Creek ISD will start at 10 a.m. today. Buses will run 2 hours late.
Sterling City ISD will start at 10 a.m. today.
Tom Green County Appraisal District offices will be closed.
Wall ISD classes are cancelled.
Winters ISD will start at 10 a.m. today
​Howard College and the West Texas Training Center will be closed and all classes will be cancelled.
City of San Angelo offices will be closed today.
Community Health Club Nursery is closed.
DPS Offices in the following counties will open at 10:00 a.m.: Jones, Eastland, Stephens, Callahan, Taylor, Mitchell, Scurry, Nolan, Fisher, Haskell & Throckmorton.

Two-Hour Delay

Angelo Catholic School will start two hours late this morning.
Ambleside School will be closed.
Tom Green County offices will be closed.
Trinity Lutheran will start two hours late this morning.
Water Valley will be closed.
Olfen ISD two hour delay.

Airport

San Angelo Regional Airport has been closed, American Eagle has cancelled its 10:27 a.m. and 12:05 p.m. flights. This afternoon's flights are still scheduled to occur, although that could change. Updates will be provided via the media, the City's website at cosatx.us, and the City's Facebook and Twitter pages.

Garbage Pickup

Republic Services has suspended garbage pickup today because of hazardous road conditions and has shut down the landfill. Residential customers will receive service on their next scheduled day. Commercial service will resume Saturday.
