Firefighters Battle Large Dumpster Fire

A dumpster fire behind the Westlake Ace Hardware on Knickerbocker Road started with three or four loud pops or bangs according to witnesses at the scene. 

Unloading stock for the hardware store was an 18-wheeler. It quickly fled the proximity of the fire.

The dumpster is a large 20-foot roll-off container. The fire happened just after 3 p.m. The fire was quickly extinguished and no one was injured.
