Two women in their late 40s-early 50s were jailed on Tuesday for driving while intoxicated, both charged with having a blood-alcohol level of .15, twice the legal limit.
Dolores Jean Mendoza, 49, was booked into the Tom Green County Jail at 10:40 p.m. on Dec. 23 by the SAPD. The other woman, 52-year-old Julia Selena Richey, was booked into the jail at 2:57 a.m. by the San Angelo Police. Both are being held in lieu of a $1,500 surety bond; Mendoza, who was also charged with driving while license invalid with previous conviction, also has a $500 surety bond.
Also put behind bars on Tuesday was another 19-year-old, Thomas Loyd Hunsacker, who faces three state jail felony charges from offenses he is accused of committing on Dec. 12, including theft of a firearm and two car thefts. Hunsacker has not been given a bond.
Twelve more individuals were jailed on Tuesday, many booked on warrants or multiple charges. The bookings report reflects a total of four counts of possession among thos jailed, three DWIs total, including the two previously mentioned, one evading arrest charge and one resisting arrest.
Fifty inmates were released on Tuesday.
