SAPD Dispatch Received over 30 Weather-Related Calls for Service over Weekend

 

Wet weather made for a busy weekend for San Angelo first responders, as motorists called for assistance on the city's flooded streets. 

The San Angelo Police Department reports that dispatch received 11 calls for service on Friday during the storms, particularly near the city's low water crossings. That number rose to 22 calls between Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Weather Underground is forecasting possible thunderstorms Sunday evening around San Angelo from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. and the chance of rain on Monday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Emergency personnel urge motorists to drive with caution in the even of further rainfall, particularly at the city's low water crossings.
