Weekend rainfall has had a dramatic impact on low levels, filling Lake Nasworthy to the brim and bringing Twin Buttes up five feet, with water still flowing in.
On Thursday of last week, the city reported Lake Nasworthy at 5,127 acre-feet, or almost 50 percent full. By Sunday noon, the lake level had reached 100 percent.
The level on Twin Buttes has not been reported for several weeks now, however the last reported data showed a total of 3,318 acre-feet for both the north and south pools combined.
Officials from the city water department are currently at Twin Buttes with equipment to retrieve the pumps so that they do not become submerged.
More information on total rainfall and weather conditions will be reported once measurements become available.
