Vehicle Fire at Ethicon Shuts Down Pulliam Street

 

A truck fully engulfed in flames near Ethicon on Pulliam Street closed all traffic on that street at 11:50 a.m. this morning, according to the radio scanner.

San Angelo Fire Department responded and reported that the vehicle was completely engulfed in flames at 3348 Pulliam Street.

A bail of hay caught fire in the back of a truck. San Angelo Fire Department responded to the scene with full regalia, but there wasn't enough water. They contained the fire and have brought more water to the scene. A San Angelo police officer said that it may be 1 p.m. before the scene is cleaned up and back to normal.

The truck is in the middle of the road on Pulliam Street in front of Ethicon. Pulliam Street is blocked both ways.

Update 12:55 p.m.

Three large rolled bails of hay on a trailer being pulled by the truck caught on fire. The scene is cleared and there were no injuries.
