Car Crashes Through Yield Sign and Lands on Porch of House

 

A silver compact car crashed through a yield sign and ended up on the porch of someone's house.

The crash happened at the corner of 17th St. and Magdelan.

The crash involved two cars. The other car was a Kia. 

There are no serious injuries at the scene.

The driver of the silver compact is sitting in a chair in the front lawn of the house. She was previously sitting on the curb. Someone brought out a chair for her from the house.

We'll have more as events unfold.

Update 2:27 p.m.

The San Angelo Fire Dept. and the ambulance just left the scene. The ambulance was empty.

Update 2:33 p.m.

The Kia was traveling south on Magdelan, the Honda Civic was eastbound. The Honda failed to yield and was hit by the Kia, San Angelo police said. The impact caused the Honda to spin around, through the yield sign and into the front porch. The San Angelo police officer investigating the crash said that no citations were issued. The occupants of the house were at the crash scene when we arrived.

No one was hurt.

I'd probably miss the yield sign too if I wasn't focused on the task at hand... (driving.)
