Three-Car Accident at Sherwood Way and Arden Rd. Leads to Secondary Wreck in San Angelo

An eastbound white Oldsmobile on Sherwood Way was turning left off of Arden Road. The driver had a green light, but did not have the green arrow. The Olds driver did not see, and therefore allegedly didn’t yield the westbound silver Honda Civic traveling through the Arden Rd. intersection.

The Honda driver saw the high potential for a crash with the white Olds and immediately took evasive action.

Meanwhile, a hard working entrepreneur who runs his own landscaping business was patiently waiting at the red light, pointing southbound on Arden Rd. in his late model Toyota Tundra.

Boom!

The silver Honda was swiped by the Olds and collides with great force into the front of the Tundra, coming to a stop.

Inside the Honda was a child in his child seat, age unknown. The Honda driver was treated at the scene for a sore arm and eventually transported to the hospital. The child was not injured.

The Olds was able to park at the NAPA Auto Parts parking lot to answer questions.

The Honda was scraped off the pavement by Home Motors and hauled away from the scene on a flatbed.

The entrepreneur and his Tundra were able to drive away. “This is not a good time of year for a landscaper to put his truck in the shop,” he said as he drove away.

Just as the accident scene was clearing up at the Arden Rd. intersection, a westbound Ram 3500 Dually with a flatbed collided with a silver Chevrolet Cobalt that was eastbound turning left into the Walgreen’s parking lot. No one was injured except the Cobalt. Though the Ram 3500’s after-market bumper and hood sustained cosmetic damage.
