Crime Rates Low on Christmas Eve

 

The city was a bit safer on Christmas Eve, as the majority of the criminals appear to have stayed at home.

Of the eight inmates booked into Tom Green County Jail Tuesday, two were arrested for public intoxication, the rest were diversified, with drug possession, theft, assault, burglary and a border patrol hold accounting for one arrest apiece.

There were 19 inmates released on Tuesday.
