San Angelo Teenager Accidentally Shot in Abdomen, Needs Blood

Former Wall High School student McCall Miller was injured in a hunting accident on Saturday, and is in need of A+ blood to stabilize, say relatives and close friends of the family.

The 18-year-old teenager was shot in the abdomen when a gun allegedly went off by accident near Mertzon around 7:00 p.m. Saturday, according to friends.

A Facebook event created by McCall's younger sister, Morgan Miller, describes the injury in more detail and asks for A+ blood donations. Donors must specify that the blood go to Miller, otherwise, it will not go to him.

Our friend is in need of our prayers, lets lift this young man up to the Lord and pray for God's healing, mercy, and grace…

For everyone that is uncertain and wondering, McCall Miller, my brother, was shot today in a hunting accident. The place where he was shot is his left side and the bullet punctured his liver, spleen, and pancreas, before tearing through his aorta, the artery in his back. He has had a lot of blood, but due to acid in his veins, his injuries are not clotting. The bullet has lodged itself in his liver. He will go into his second surgery as soon as they can warm him up and get his blood to clot a little bit. Thank you for your prayers; please keep them coming. We are not out of the woods yet. -Morgan Miller

United Blood Services at 2020 West Beauregard will have a blood & plasma drive (no appt) tomorrow for McCall. They have an emphasis on A+ but will take any and all donations. Thanks to all who can donate! -Pam Venable
