‘I feel like I’m in New York.’ Or Austin. Or Los Angeles. Regardless of the big city in reference, attendees of the 30 West Loft Apartments open house on Friday in downtown San Angelo seem to agree on one thing: the flats’ location and swanky presence set them apart from more modest San Angelo living.
The new lofts, located at 30 W. Beauregard, come at a time when revitalizing the downtown area is at an all-time high.
“The response is overwhelming,” described Casey Deering, Executive Manager of Century Builders, and co-owner of 30 West Lofts at the open house.
And part of that response is likely due to the look, as well as the location.
The building itself is early 1920’s and represents historical San Angelo, the charm of which the owners took into account in their restorations. They ‘wanted to keep the building historically accurate, but for it to also match the rest of downtown.’
“We found old pictures of what the building used to look like, and matched the facade,” said Patrick Agan, co-owner of 30 West Lofts.
The unique upscale living isn’t cheap, but for those wanting a ritzy place, the price may be well worth it.
“San Angelo’s been waiting for something like this” said Deering, “We want to set a new standard for downtown living.”
