WATCH: The West Texas Honky-Tonk Man

SAN ANGELO, TX - The San Angelo Rodeo is known to be a performance type rodeo focusing on the sport, but tonight following the action in the coliseum San Angelo and the Concho Valley can catch an up-and-coming country music artist at the Buffalo Social Club.

Braxton Keith, a native of Midland and student at Angelo State University broke into the country music scene in 2019 with the single, "Make Up Your Mind."

Many country artists throughout the Lone Star State identify with the Texas Country Music genre but Braxton Keith does not.

"I don't know if I consider myself Texas Country," said Keith. "I live in Texas and I play country music but I'm just trying to bring back traditional sounding country music the way I like to listen to it. There's a lot of new school country coming in but I think I like the classics better. I'm just trying to share some of that old history with everybody else."

The 23-year-old who's known for mixing traditional country music with his style of the genre brings a fresh new sound.

WATCH as Braxton Keith talks about his roots and where he's headed in this San Angelo LIVE Rodeo Feature presented by The AutoPlex in San Angelo and Angelo MRI

Wish Braxton a happy birthday tonight as he and his band perform at the Buffalo Social Club following tonight's rodeo performance.
