Hardest finals to make: Chani Graves cracks barrel racing top 3

SAN ANGELO, TX — The animals at performance six of the 2022 San Angelo Rodeo didn’t just act crazy. Instead, they flipped out.

The second Friday at the 90th Annual San Angelo Rodeo was filled with chaos. Cowboys from across the country found out just what stock contractor Pete Carr’s bulls were all about. Despite the misfortune of many others, Idaho Cowboy Riley Barg showed the bull named Curly Bill who’s boss, riding him for 87 points. That put Barg in 3rd place in the overall standings so far.

In the tie-down roping, the crowd exploded in hopes that San Angelo’s own Dylan Hancock could take the top spot. Unfortunately for Hancock, a fast calf led to a no time.

In barrel racing, the contest heated up in a hurry. A number of Texas cowgirls ran their hearts out but only one star shined deep in the heart of the San Angelo night and that was Chani Graves from Sulphur Springs. Her 14.19-second time put her in the second spot in the round and third in the overall average landing her one-on-one interview with San Angelo LIVE!’s Manny Diaz.

This video recap is presented by Bad Boy Mowers available at Henderson Tractors.
