SAN ANGELO, TX — Tie-down roper Blake Ash is wanting 2022 to be his big breakout. He is in a tie for 6th in the first round at the 2022 San Angelo Rodeo with Cash Hooper with a time of 8.3 seconds. Saturday, he’ll attempt to make his average — actually the sum of two go-rounds — in the 15 second range. He has his work cut out for him. So far, the best tie-down roping time is 7.6 seconds.
