WATCH: Clete Bradley and the Mood

SAN ANGELO, TX — Clete Bradley Carrillo is his full name and before heading to Fort Worth to live his dream as a Texas Country Music star, he was quite popular in a regional band based in San Angelo called Buckshot Bradley.

"I got started playing at... it's no longer here... The Texas Coffee Company," Bradley said. He had just returned home from school in Aggieland, College Station, in 2007 and found he had an audience for his music.

Over the next several years, Bradley and his band Buckshot Bradley toured Texas. Songs like "Pumpjack" and "Four-Wheel Drive" became sing-alongs.

Now he's older and more experienced. He said he's more into roots country, or Americana, than Texas Country with his next band called Clete Bradley and the Mood.

"I used to write for the party, now I write for me... And I write more about my life than the party. It's a lot more deeper... I haven't lived an easy life so there's a lot to write about," Bradley said.
