SAN ANGELO, TX — Saturday night in the most recent series of barrel racing, Bristan Kennedy, the Levelland cowgirl, came through with a 14.32 second ride in performance 8. This year's barrel racing is very fast. If you're not in the 14.3-second time range, forget about it. Bristan's two times of 30.43 seconds is good for 5th in the average so far. There are 36 more barrel racing runs before the standings are set for going into the finals. Hopefully, we'll see her Friday in the Short Go finals..

Right behind Bristan on Saturday night was Jessica Routier, coming through with a 14.37-second ride. Her time was pretty solid but will not be enough for her to sneak into the top 12.

Here are the current leaders in barrel racing going into the final two regular nights of rodeo. This is the sum of two runs during the 2021 San Angelo Rodeo. The Top 12 as of Thursday night will compete in the finals for thousands of dollars:
