Bayle Worden Still Sits at Number 2 in the 2020 San Angelo Rodeo Standings

SAN ANGELO, TX — Stetson Wright leads this year’s rodeo with an 89-point score but one bull rider you’ll want to watch for at the Short Go Finals on Friday will be Bayle Worden.

During Sunday’s 9th performance, he scored a half point less than the leader, with an 88.5-point ride on a bull named Sonny and still sits second in standings after Wednesday night’s 10th performance

He has worked 8 years as a rodeo cowboy.

About the ride Sunday, Worden said, “I had to be there when the whistle blew and I secured the number 2 spot!” He will be one of 12 bull riders going into the Short Go Finals and this is his first time earning it.

“These rodeos like this have been going on for ever. It’s prestigious and a blessing in itself just to be here,” Bayle said.

“I haven’t done a whole lotta good so, maybe we can turn it around here. Maybe San Angelo will be good to me,” he concluded.

Worden is being too shy and humble. His career earnings are $1,778,848 in PRCA rodeos since 2013. Here are his highlights from 2019:

  • Won Waller County Fair & Rodeo (Hempstead, Texas)
  • Won the Guadalupe County Fair & PRCA Rodeo (Seguin, Texas)
  • Won the Longview (Texas) PRCA Rodeo
  • Won the Annual Fouth of July Celebration (Window Rock, Ariz.)
