The Bulls Get Angry Friday Night at the San Angelo Rodeo
SAN ANGELO, TX — Performance 2 of the 2020 San Anglo rodeo brought out the fight from the bulls.
The two-time National Finals Rodeo 370 Tequila Worm. This bull has only been ridden, as in the bull rider made eight seconds, four times since his 2018 debut in pro rodeo. For the four that made it, their ride score average was 89.5.
Brady Portenier of Coldwell, Idaho, didn’t make eight Friday night on 370.
A scary moment came at the end of Colt Robinson’s ride attempt on 443 White Walker. The Prescott, Arizona cowboy was caught in the bull’s horns, thrown into the air where Robinson flipped over and was hit by the bull’s horns again. This was Robinson’s second encounter with 443 White Walker.
Robinson appeared to take it all in stride. “I fell off and got stomped on pretty good,” he said. He claimed no major injuries except soreness.
Of the 10 bull riders who attempted, only one made eight seconds top a bull. That was Brody Yeary who scored an 82 on 49 Blurred Face.
