San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Implements Clear Bag Policy

SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo has adopted a clear bag policy to prioritize attendee safety and speed entry, organizers said.

“Your safety is our top priority! Our clear bag policy helps us keep everyone secure while making entry a breeze. Bring a clear bag or a small clutch, and enjoy the rodeo with peace of mind!” the organization posted on social media.

Approved bags must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and may carry a maximum of one logo imprint no larger than 4.5 inches tall by 3.4 inches wide.

Permitted options are:

  • Clear tote bags measuring up to 12 inches by 12 inches.
  • Clear branded bags.
  • One-gallon clear resealable plastic storage bags.

Alternatively, small non-clear bags — with or without a strap — no larger than the size of a hand are allowed. All other bags are prohibited.

Non-approved items include backpacks, purses, printed or patterned plastic bags, colored plastic storage bags, reusable grocery totes, large tote bags, camera cases, diaper bags, duffle bags, solid-color cinch bags, large fanny packs and mesh or straw bags. Exceptions will be granted for credentialed media members and individuals with necessary medical items following inspection at designated areas.

The policy was outlined in an accompanying infographic shared by the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Association. That is below:
