San Angelo Rodeo Announces Rodeo Clowns and Horsemanship Performer

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo has announced its 2026 contract personnel lineup, featuring returning announcer Boyd Polhamus, veteran rodeo clowns Justin Rumford and John Harrison, bullfighters Clay Heger and Dusty Tuckness, specialty entertainer Dan James and pickup men Jake and Jeff Dees. 

Polhamus returns as the longtime rodeo announcer. Known for his dynamic delivery and deep knowledge of the sport, he connects with both veteran fans and newcomers through storytelling and great timing. 

Justin Rumford and John Harrison will serve as rodeo clowns. Rumford, a multi-time PRCA Clown of the Year, is recognized for quick wit and crowd engagement. Harrison, who earned the “Triple Crown” by winning Clown of the Year, Barrel Man and Clown of the Year in one season, brings high-energy comedy and audience interaction, according to information from the rodeo. 

Clay Heger and Dusty Tuckness headline the bullfighting team. Tuckness, a 10-time PRCA Bullfighter of the Year and 17-time National Finals Rodeo qualifier, provides elite protection and bull-handling expertise. Heger, a multi-time PRCA Bullfighter of the Year nominee and the most tenured bullfighter at the San Angelo Rodeo in over a decade, adds strength, agility and precision. 

Dan James will provide specialty entertainment April 3-5. The internationally recognized horsemanship performer will showcase liberty acts with multiple horses.

Jake and Jeff Dees return as official pickup men. The father-son duo uses expert horsemanship to assist riders safely and ensure smooth transitions between events.
