SAN ANGELO, TX — Registration is now open for the 2025 Sonora Bank Mutton Bustin’ event at the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo.
Children eager to participate in this fan-favorite event must sign up for the drawing, with selected contestants earning a chance to compete during scheduled rodeo performances.
The drawing for participants will take place on Feb. 19 at noon and will be posted on the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Facebook page, the SASSRA website, YouTube, and Sonora Bank’s Facebook page.
Those selected must confirm their participation by paying the $35 entry fee before 8 a.m. on Feb. 28. Failure to confirm will result in the loss of their spot, with alternates filling vacancies.
To qualify, contestants must be at least four years old and weigh 50 pounds or less at the time of their performance. Safety equipment will be provided by event organizers, and participants must ride forward-facing without ropes or additional equipment. Each event winner will receive a custom buckle from Sonora Bank.
Mutton Bustin’ performances will be held at various rodeo events from April 4 through April 20 at the Foster Communications Coliseum. Contestants must check in one hour before their scheduled performance at the coliseum’s box office.
