ICYMI: San Angelo's 'Largest Carnival Ever' Begins

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The Western Finance Carnival is set to bring its largest event yet to San Angelo, featuring Talley Amusements. 

"It's our largest carnival ever," information stated. 

The event kicks off on Friday, April 5, and will continue through Sunday, April 21 at the fairgrounds located near the San Angelo Coliseum. 

The rodeo reports that each year, close to 150,000 visitors enter the carnival venue, while nearly 170,000 must pass by or through it over the event's 16-day run. 

Admission to the fairgrounds is complimentary with the purchase of an "Unlimited Ride Armband Carnival Super Pass" or a rodeo ticket. 

Regular gate admission is priced at $8 for adults and $5 for children 11 and under. 

The Carnival Super Pass, offering all-you-can-ride access for $125 plus a $5 service fee, also grants free admission to the fairgrounds. 

Passes are available for purchase starting March 11, 2024, at the Coliseum Box Office and online at www.sanangelorodeo.com.

For those opting for daily passes, a one-day unlimited ride armband is available for $35 during weekdays (Wednesday through Friday) and $50 on Saturdays or Sundays. Daily band purchasers will also need to pay gate admission.

Carnival hours are set from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Special hours on Friday, April 19, 2024, are from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. 

The event extends its hours on Saturdays, from noon to midnight, and on Sundays from noon to 10 p.m. 

Information from the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Association states that the carnival will have everything from Ferris wheels to funnel cakes and roller coasters to ring toss games.
