Watch: Bull Jumper to Thrill at 88th Annual San Angelo Rodeo and Tickets Available Tuesday

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo board members and staff outlined the new and expanded events and changes for the 88th annual event during a news conference Wednesday at the San Angelo Visitor's center. 

Rodeo tickets go on sale Tuesday December 3.  

New for rodeo 2020 is a bull riding performance on the first Sunday, Feb. 2 which will include competition among the top 30 Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association bull riders, a new carnival that's twice the size of the previous one, a premium sale with goal of over $1 million for the first time and a cashless midway.

The new carnival for 2020 is Crabtree Amusements with more rides that in the last 20 years.  A carnival super pass is available for the season with free gate admission daily and unlimited rides for $99.  Passes are for sale at the coliseum box office beginning Tuesday Dec. 3. 

Rodeo Tickets also go on sale Tuesday Dec. 3 online on the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo website.  

The first event is the Junior Food Challenge on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020. The first rodeo performance is Thursday, Jan. 30, The carnival opens on Friday, Jan. 21. 

Events continue through Saturday, Feb. 15 with the final rodeo performance and the premium sale Sat. Feb. 15.
