SAN ANGELO, TX — The annual San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo is all about competition and the ninth year for the Championship Cook Off was no exception.
29 teams competed in four categories Saturday at the north end of the Spur Arena to see who could cook up the best jalapeño poppers, BBQ chicken, ribs and brisket
Cook Off Executive Director Joann Walter said they had 29 teams enter the competition this year and the competition was fierce. Patrons could sample the bbq entries for a donation at each of the teams camps.
When the smoke settled Saturday afternoon Walter announced the winners in each category:
