San Angelo Rodeo - Day 17 - State Rep Drew Darby on Financing the Fairgrounds

 

State Rep. Drew Darby has been involved with the rodeo since 1972. In the late 1990s, while a city councilman, he led the charge to designate 1/2 percent of the city sales tax to economic development. Part of that fund built The Spur Arena and many of the newer livestock show barns. Darby explains the benefits of the City of San Angelo's Economic Development spending.
