DeRusso Vying For TGC Commissioner Pct. 1 in GOP Primary
SAN ANGELO, TX – Michelle DeRusso has thrown her hat into the ring as a candidate for Tom Green County Commissioner PCT.1 in the upcoming March Republican Primary.
DeRusso, a third-generation Tom Green County resident, boasts 47 years of local roots, with 18 of those spent specifically in precinct one. Born and raised in Wall, TX, she graduated from Wall ISD before pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting at Angelo State.
Expressing her motivation to give back to the community, DeRusso emphasized her desire to utilize her skills for the benefit of all Tom Green County residents, particularly those in precinct one.
“I felt like it was time for me to give back,” she said. “To put my attributes of what I'm good at, to work for all the residents of Tom Green County and specifically precinct one.”
DeRusso, a self-described "family person" and "religious person," credits her faith as a guiding force in her decision to enter public service. She has one daughter who is currently in college.
Early voting for the March Republican Primary will end this Friday.

- MHMR Services for the Concho Valley, 1501 W. Beauregard Ave., Jack Ray Room
From today, Feb. 27, to Friday, March 1, voting can be done from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
