MEET THE CANDIDATES: San Angelo Attorney Andrew Graves Looking for Promotion to Judge

Here's why I will not be voting for Andrew Graves. First impressions are always important, and for me, I prefer a little humility from a candidate who is running for public office. While walking in to the Pachyderm forum, I happened to be walking in with Mr. Graves. I tried to engage him in conversation as to why he is qualified for the job, and he just handed me a brochure and said dismissively "read this". I said I wanted to hear from him about his qualifications, and got a gratuitous verbal resume, but not once did he tell me why he wanted the job. It seems to me, as a citizen and a voter, that when any constituent  wants to talk to you, you should engage each individual from the standpoint that the taxpayer is your boss and you are applying for a job. Arrogance is something I cannot stand. I will be voting for Leland Lacy.
