Rep. Pfluger Votes to Fund the Department of Homeland Security

WASHINGTON, DC — Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11), Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security's Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence, released the following statement after voting to fund the Department of Homeland Security.

"Democrats have once again made their priorities clear. They are willing to let Americans endure endless airport lines, force TSA, Border Patrol, and Coast Guardsmen to work without pay, and stretch all DHS personnel thin while politicizing their mission. That puts their livelihoods and our nation’s safety at risk. Democrats are playing political games with real American families, and it’s indefensible. I’ve now voted five times to fund the Department of Homeland Security. 203 Democrats voted no again tonight. Protecting Americans and backing those who serve us should never be controversial."
