Final Day of Early Voting: More Than 4,400 Ballots Cast in San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Early voting in San Angelo has drawn a steady turnout, with 4,436 total ballots cast as of Tuesday morning, the final day of early voting for the May 3 general election.

According to the Tom Green County Elections Office, daily in-person turnout broke down as follows:

  • Tuesday, April 22: 621 voters

  • Wednesday, April 23: 631 voters

  • Thursday, April 24: 656 voters

  • Friday, April 25: 653 voters

  • Saturday, April 26: 568 voters

  • Sunday, April 27: 341 voters

  • Monday, April 28: 797 voters

  • Tuesday, April 29 (as of mid-morning): 137 voters

The cumulative early voting total stood at 4,436 by Tuesday morning. Polls remain open until 7 p.m. today.

Election officials described the turnout as consistent throughout the week, with voters arriving steadily each day.

Ballot items include races for mayor and city council, San Angelo ISD School Board seats, a $397 million school bond proposal for renovations and new construction across the district, and a $41.6 million bond for improvements to the CRC Roofers Coliseum.

Registered voters may cast their ballots in person at the Tom Green County Elections Office, located at the Edd B. Keyes & Francis Frink Keyes Building, 113 W. Beauregard Ave. in downtown San Angelo.
