SAN ANGELO, TX — Early voting in San Angelo continues at a steady pace ahead of the May 3 general election, with 1,489 residents casting ballots as of Thursday morning, according to Tom Green County election officials.
On the second day of early voting, Wednesday, April 23, 631 voters turned out — 10 more than on Tuesday. By mid-morning Thursday, an additional 237 people had voted. Officials at the Edd B. and Frances Frink Keyes Building reported smooth operations and steady turnout throughout the day.
“We’re somewhat busy in the morning, but then for the rest of the day, they trickle in pretty steadily,” an elections office representative said.
Early voting runs through Tuesday, April 29. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and Saturday, April 26, and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 27. Voting is conducted at 113 W. Beauregard Ave.
On the ballot are multiple city and school board races, including the mayoral and city council elections.
Voters will also decide on two bond propositions: a $397 million bond for renovations and new construction across San Angelo ISD campuses and a $41.6 million bond for improvements to the CRC Roofers Coliseum.
