Pfluger Votes to Save Lives

WASHINGTON, DC — Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) voted yes to pass The Fix Our Forest Act and the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, two pieces of legislation that will "save innocent lives."

On the Fix Our Forest Act, Congressman Pfluger said, “Far too many Americans have tragically been victims of the devastation that wildfires can cause, most recently seen in California. To prevent this from happening again, Congress must prioritize effective forest management. I am proud to support the bipartisan Fix Our Forests Act to restore forest health, mitigate wildfires, and protect at-risk communities. Passing this legislation through the House of Representatives today brings us one step closer to preventing future fires nationwide. I urge my colleagues in the Senate to swiftly pass this critical legislation.”

On the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, Congressman Pfluger said,“Providing life-saving care to a patient in critical need is commonsense, yet in the case of a failed abortion, many Democrats have argued otherwise. On the eve of the annual March for Life, House Republicans passed critical legislation today that will require appropriate medical care for children who survive abortion procedures. I was extremely proud to support the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act to protect the sanctity of life, and I will continue to advocate for this legislation until it becomes law.”
