Trump and Harris Set to Face Off in First and Potentially Only Debate Tonight

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris will hold their first and possibly only debate at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.

The event will be aired on ABC with two of its network news anchors, David Muir and Linsey Davis, moderating.

Trump was selected as the Republican nominee, while Harris was installed as the Democratic candidate after President Joe Biden dropped out of the race following his performance in a debate against Trump in June.

Biden’s cognitive impairment could no longer be hidden, forcing the Democratic Party to pivot to Harris as its nominee. Biden is still technically the President of the country until January, though his public appearances have been almost nonexistent in recent months.

Predictably, the mainstream media machine has tried to prop up Harris, who previously had polled as the least popular vice president in U.S. history.

Now, she’s reportedly soaring in polls, and it’s difficult to find a negative word being written about her.

This debate will at least give Americans an opportunity to make up their own mind about her.

Since she became the Democratic candidate in July, Harris has granted only one sit-down interview — with extremely liberal network CNN last month — and it was heavily edited.

The hope among Republican supporters is that Harris, who has struggled during unscripted moments, will be exposed during the debate, just as Biden was.

Trump, looking far more controlled than in the past in recent interviews, has prepped for the debate with Tulsi Gabbard, who famously eviscerated Harris in a 2019 debate.

As with the last Trump-Biden debate, Tuesday’s debate will have microphones that are muted unless a candidate is speaking.

The 90-minute event will have only two commercial breaks.

Trump’s vice presidential candidate, J.D. Vance, will face off with Tim Walz in a debate Oct. 1 on CBS News.

No additional dates have been announced for a second Trump-Harris debate.
