WASHINGTON, DC — Rep. August Pfluger said that President Joe Biden poses a severe national security threat to our country following his debate performance. Viewers of Thursday night’s debate between President Biden and former President Donald Trump saw a current president befuddled and suffering from dementia.
“This is a somber moment. President Biden is incapable of serving as commander-in-chief. This is beyond politics; it is a national emergency. Get out the vote for Donald J. Trump,” Pfluger said in a statement immediately following the debate.
Highlights of the debate, as presented by the Trump campaign:
Immediately after the debate, liberal pundits on CNN and other cable news outlets called for replacing Biden as the Democratic nominee for the Nov. 5, 2024, election. This will be difficult to do, according to the Heritage Foundation’s The Oversight Project. The clock is ticking for many states’ deadlines for getting on or off the ballot, and some dates are perilously close to the date of the Democratic National Convention, where a new candidate can be introduced. There are 74 days between the last day of the DNC national convention on Aug. 22 and election day on Nov. 5.
Many states, including Texas, require that the candidate withdraw before the 74th day prior to the election.
The Heritage Foundation notes that three contentious swing states have laws that will make ballot access for a new Democratic nominee difficult: Georgia, Nevada, and Wisconsin.
With less than 60 days before the election, should Biden withdraw his name, in Georgia his name will remain on the ballot, but no votes will be counted.
We are 130 days from the Nov. 5 election as of this article.
In Nevada, no changes can be made to the ballot after 5 p.m. on the fourth Friday in June of an election year unless a nominee dies or is adjudicated insane or mentally incompetent. Today is the fourth Friday in June prior to the November election.
In Wisconsin, a candidate cannot withdraw from the ballot for any reason besides death.
While Pfluger opines that a continued Biden presidency presents national security concerns, not many Democrats have come to Biden’s rescue following last night’s illuminating debate performance. Texas political writer Scott Braddock noted just that.
“Nearly complete silence, and it is deafening, from elected Texas Democrats following the presidential debate,” Braddock stated on X.
Collin Allred is the Democratic nominee to run against Republican Senator Ted Cruz. Republican State Rep. nominee Mitch Little of Lewisville and Denton offered Allred and other down-ballot Democratic nominees therapy last night following the debate.
“Down-ballot Dems: Do you want to talk about it?” he tweeted.

Electing biden the first time was a national security threat. Anyone that would still vote for him would have to be an idiot.
