Pfluger Delivers Articles of Impeachment of DHS Secretary Mayorkas to Senate

WASHINGTON, DC — As a House Impeachment Manager, Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) today transmitted the Articles of Impeachment of Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to the U.S. Senate.

The Articles prove Secretary Mayorkas willfully and systemically refused to comply with the law and breached the public trust. The U.S. Senate is constitutionally obligated to hold an impeachment trial. However, Senate Democrats have indicated they may move to dismiss or table the articles.

According to Committee Chairman Rep. Mark Green, the evidence against Mayorkas is twofold. First, the House Managers allege that Mayorkas willfully refused to comply with existing federal law. They claim that he blatantly disregarded numerous provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act and directed the release of millions of inadmissible illegal aliens into the country.

Second, the Managers allege that Mayorkas breached the public trust, made false statements to Congress, and obstructed Congressional oversight, to include ignoring demands to produce evidence. Green said the failure to produce documents forced his committee to issue two subpoenas that until today remain unfulfilled.

The impeachment vote by the entire U.S. House was along party lines, with Republicans voting to impeach and Democrats against. The impeachment passed by a very narrow one-vote margin in February.

The impeachment will be taken up by the Democrat-controlled U.S. Senate where it is expected to have a short life with no trial. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer will likely begin and end the trial in on short gavel. The Senate will either move to dismiss the impeachment outright or table the articles. Either way, it is unlikely a full trial in the Senate will occur.

Despite this, Pfluger remains optimistic that the articles will be considered by the Senate.

"The evidence against Secretary Mayorkas is clear, comprehensive, and compelling," said Rep. Pfluger. "Any Senator who votes to dismiss the impeachment articles is dismissing the cries of millions of Americans impacted by the border crisis. I am proud that the House of Representatives held Secretary Mayorkas accountable for the devastating border crisis. The Senate must fulfill its Constitutional duty to hold a full trial, hear the evidence, and render a verdict."

Pfluger is a joke... a very bad joke.  His identify as a Republican is proof of that, since that clan clearly demonstrates itself to be a house of mindless clowns enslaved by the King Of Clowns.

At this time/point in our country, we would be better off with a bunch of clowns instead of the brain deads ruining our nation.

And, Mr. Pfluger voted this week to violate our rights (guaranteed by our Constitution . . . specifically our 4th Amendment) by reauthorizing the FISA illegal spying on American citizens without the bother of a warrant.  But, thank the Lord, he also managed to vote in favor of exempting Congress from that law (they have to be notified if the Feds are spying on Congressmen).  Disgusting . . .  treason! Time to begin the hunt for Mr. Pfluger's replacement.
