SAN ANGELO, TX – Tom Green County Commissioner Pct. 1 Ralph Hoelscher is running for reelection to the seat he's held for several terms.
Hoelscher's service extends beyond his role as commissioner. He holds positions on the Howard College Foundation Board of Directors and is an active member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Mereta.
Having been a resident of Tom Green County since 1967, Hoelscher has made a living as a farmer/rancher in the Veribest community.
Married to his wife, Noemi, for 56 years, Hoelscher is a family man with two children, three grandsons, and three great-grandsons.
His past roles include serving as Director of the Upper Colorado River Authority (appointed by Gov. George W. Bush), Trustee for Veribest ISD, Director and President of the Tom Green County Farm Bureau, and President of the Parish Council at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mereta.
Additionally, he has contributed to initiatives such as the Tom Green County Census Awareness Committee and the Tom Green County Redistricting Committee. Hoelscher was also involved in the "Beacon to the Future Library Steering Committee."
“I will respect, represent, and work for all the people in Tom Green County, listen to the concerns of the people, and make decisions that will be fair to all," Hoelscher stated. "I want everyone to feel secure and proud to live and work in Tom Green County.”
