San Angelo Awarded $200K Grant for Homeless

SAN ANTONIO — U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) issued a statement today following the announcement that the City of San Angelo has been granted $193,950 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Continuum of Care Program. The funds are designated to provide housing assistance and support services for individuals, families, minors, and domestic violence survivors experiencing homelessness.

"Homelessness in Texas is increasing, and rising costs across essentials such as rent, utilities, and groceries have exacerbated the challenges faced by these individuals," stated Sen. Cornyn. "This funding will equip those at the forefront of addressing this crisis in San Angelo with the necessary resources to assist Texans in securing permanent housing and realizing their long-term aspirations."
