State Rep Calls for Harsher Punishment Following Multiple School Threat Hoaxes

ODESSA, TX – Over the past two days, Permian High School received threats alleging school shootings and bomb threats.

In response to the incidents, State Rep. Brooks Landgraf wants harsher punishments for fake school threat calls.

"After discussions with local law enforcement leaders, I’m working to crack down on hoax threat calls (like those at Permian High School) by increasing the penalty for that crime. As part of the punishment, the criminal should have to pay for the public resources that were squandered as a result of the bogus call."
