ATLANTA, GA – The Fulton County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday confirmed that former President Donald Trump and his 18 co-defendants will be booked and processed in Fulton County Jail.
“In Fulton County, GA, the booking process and arraignment/appearance process in criminal cases are two separate things. In this case, some arraignments/appearances may be virtual as dictated by the presiding judge,” Fulton County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Natalie Ammons said in a statement. “At this point, based on guidance received from the District Attorney’s office and presiding judge, it is expected that all 19 defendants named in the indictment will be booked at the Rice Street Jail.”
Trump and the other 18 will have until Aug. 25, 2023, at noon to turn themselves in. The sheriff's office confirmed that "normal practices," including a mugshot, will be used after the group has been arrested.
The Fulton County Jail is well known for housing inmates like Atlanta rappers Young Thug and Gunna. It is also famous for participating in A&E's hit show '60 Days In.'
